Muse Upon: The Composer-wannabe Fan of Jay Chou 周杰伦

And when I met him today, I fell heart-N-sinker...maybe it was more of his boyish charm, but his smile and ease with you make you feel that his music says more than what's expressed. Happy birthday Jay!~ Knowing that your birthday was on the 18th (8 mths before mine! 18.09), it has been a busy one for you noting your busy performance schedule and all...

Don't get me wrong, I've like Jay 杰伦 since I was in JC, even during the days when he wasn't glam-ed up and hot. The days when he first started writing for artists, while he slogged day in and out from a small little audio studio; churning music for the latest hits and starlets. But of course, it isn't much about being star-struck but more of being in awe of someone with talent. No way would Jay ever look even my way, but still, music and more music...his says all...

Whilst in Melbourne; nursing a broken heart or when I was at my happiest, his music was the medium to say it all. Recalling from the past, I actually made a website for his music and my own song-writing a long while back. That was probably in 2003, where firmly believed I wanted to be as talented as he was...or at least strive to do my best.

For me, it was more of a try-your-best, if you fail, try-again...Until today, I still hold that thought, as I attend my melody classes at FM.

This close-door interview, was more of a dream for me, and even though I have but caught only one of his concerts, a long while ago, with his cleaned up appearance and more flashy attire, he still croons the same tunes and writes the same songs. Those with meaning. Of course, with melody, lyrics have to come into play, and Fan Wen Shan, is another of my idols. Reason, simply because where talents are, it isn't all about looks and rationalizing...but rather...a passion for something.

My dream, would be to be like him. Not the now him...but that of the past. Of writing for starlets, having them sing my tunes and people appreciating it.

People always say that passion comes from within the lyrics and melody, or whatever manages to grab their attention first. But, honestly, it goes beyond the lyrics and melody; rather it's part of what the song conveys. Imagine, a snazzy tune, that croons of a long-lost love. Stereotypical? But definitely in the right area. Yet, think of the people behind the scene, behind the pretty faces...how about them? How about the passion and drive they have to make the music happen?

From the likes of the melody-N-lyricist...to the arranger and the producers. It's more than just a pretty package, so to speak. Musicals is probably another part of me, that sings out with the mixed feelings of love, hate, passion; all rolled into one.

And so until the music dies out, there's always all the love in the world to share.

    My little Quaint space...At Work

    DSCF9517

Welcome...to the messy messy space of a corner that I reside at, at work that is...

    DSCF9512DSCF9513

There's the whole lot here...bears, beanies, phone guardians...and lots of PR papers lying about.

    DSCF9514DSCF9515

We've even got goofy sitting in the background of our magazine...where we must say. "ohhhh Golly".

    DSCF9511DSCF9516

And of course, what else cant we lack? A laptop and copies of our magazine...but, for its worth, messiness comes with creativity. Or so we say.

There were drinks, and I met the buffalo guy who goes hunting for African bulldozer-size moo-cows...i rest my case. Beef jerky anybody?

    T3 Gadget Talk: It's A "Bill Gates"

    http://ces.blogs.com/photos/uncategorized/2008/01/08/010808_slash_and_gates.jpg

When you see a GH controller, you think fun. When you see Bill Gates, you think computers.

But when you these two elements placed in the same room at the recent CES 2008, you see the picture above, and hence our puzzled expressions. I mean, we all need some fun in our life...but maybe, we got a little too uptight along the way, what with fun being reserved for kids, and adults having to be all grown-up and all.

Good one, Mr Gates. Rock on.

    Celeb-watch: There goes Johnny!

    Credits: popsugar.com

And you thought multi-tasking wasn't possible...but dear ol' Johnny does both acting and music almost as well as breathing...

Rolling Stone's little feature has us more than stumbling over our feet...

Popsugar.com's Molly just ran a little up-close-and personal interview with our star...and we must say, green's the colour of the day. Hey Johnny!

How did listening to music become making music?
When I was twelve, I talked my mom into picking up a Decca electric guitar for me for twenty-five dollars. It had a little blue plush amp. And then, this is horrible, the first thing I did was steal a Mel Bay chord book. I went to this store, stuffed it down my pants and walked out. It had pictures — that's why I needed it so badly, because it was immediate gratification. If I could match those photographs, then I was golden. I conquered it in days. I locked the bedroom door, didn't leave, and taught myself how to play chords. I started learning songs by ear.

To read more from Johnny about his first band and finding his passion, just read more.

    What was your first band?
When I was about thirteen, I got together with some other kids in the neighborhood. This one guy had a bass, we knew a guy who had a PA system, we made our own lights. It was really ramshackle and great. We'd play at people's backyard parties. Everything from the Beatles to Led Zeppelin to Cheap Trick to Devo — and "Johnny B. Goode" was the closer.

You've got that wistful look in your eyes.
You're thirteen years old and you're playing rock & roll. Loud. Poorly. But somebody's letting you do it in their back yard. And it was absolute perfection. It was freedom. Right off the bat, there was no question: I had found my future.

But maybe...just maybe, he might pose for a magazine that would show more? Do more? Give more? That's of course for us ladies. Rock on.

Just in time for V-Day, we've got a massive range of goodies this time round, and we're quite excited about how our shoot will turn out...

That's alot of stuff if you ask me...packing = not too great. Still, great for the biceps and gadget-itchy-heart.

Gadget Candy: A hard Tablet to Chew?

A month down the road and we've got this N800 tablet in check.

     IMG_1634

It has a new sibling now, but we just wanted to see how this little WiFi pusher handles pressure...

In our earlier review, the N800 had us question-marking its lack of a SIM card and oddly placed SD slots.

    IMG_1638

As brilliant as its silvery sheen looks, we reckon this Nokia tablet  has more than just a mere skype-able feature and push-mail to attract its buyers.

    IMG_1637

We maxed out its application "add-on" mode, and surprisingly, its 3rd party software was nothing short of "interesting". From Pidgin's Messenger, to KMPlayer that lets you play flv. format files (youtube), and of course the camera mode.

    IMG_1641

And our favourite: A wide-screen zoom version of pdf. ebooks. Great for the busy on-the-go individual who has to run around and head out.

Bulk-less and definitely a carry on. Not your average PDA, but something more.

When darkness reveals its ugly lil' head

"I don't want to know, or feel inside.

When all but is consumed by the fiery fumes that blazes through the depths of one's heart.

But somehow, the darkness takes over and I ask myself, why.

    But.

    Why."

When time passes by with the sweet sounds of tunes a breezed with love...

Yet sometimes, love ain't enough and commitment seems an overkill.

Where instabilities, hopes and dreams resurface and sink over and over again.

When the bunny gets to you...RAVE RABBIDS ALL THE WAY

    rabbids_finger_puppets_001

A picture speaks a thousand words...and this one says more than I can say...our fellow colleagues at Playworks went DAHHH on us, and us good people at T3 decided that...maybe it would be time to take these "finger puppets to a more tech level...POSING them atop our lovely swordplay's monitor and keyboards...hey, it's gone beyond the console box...

And to think these bunnies were nearly abandoned. Got to get them all!
