October 30 Luncheon at Vivo…YUMMY! Chargrilled….alright. Fruits first. =D I’ve just got a thing for raw food don’t I. Especially Salmon. =p Lovely food. =D Gorgeous Brunette would be the word we’ll use to describe Alison Carroll, where standing at 1.63, she is probably the most petite British we’ve ever met. Oh, and she performs a leet handstand, and cartwheel too. If you’re as enthralled as we are about our Lara, you might want to check out Tomb Raider: Underworld, which might change more than a few perceptions of all Lara Croft personalities as a little fluffy in the head. Hunting for Costumes took us to the No.1 Costume Shop@Aliwah Street! It was a fantastic squeeze-alot date with the HALLOWEEN-ies…But, still the range was awesome. Was contemplating wings or masks. but, the weather just ain’t too agreeable…So, we’ll just see what I might conjure up in the next 24 hours. Got my fangs though. Stay tune, and hang around will ya? October 23 Great food from behind Funan. Think its the Wanton stall. This was the dim sum buffet at Vivo there. I remember vaguely it was called Dragon Gate (??) October 21 A versus An: The Indefinite Article visitor wrote in to ask when to use "a" and when to use "an." In particular, she wanted to know which of the following is correct: - Citibank is a MNC Bank
- Citibank is an MNC Bank
The correct sentence is number 2. The Rule Use "a" when the following word begins with a consonant sound; use "an" when the following word begins with a vowel sound. What matters is how the following word is pronounced, not what it looks like. In the example sentence, "MNC" begins with a consonant, but it begins with the sound of the vowel "e," since we would pronounce it as "em en see." Extra Credit Some people, especially those who are trying extra hard to sound erudite, will use "an" before a word that begins with the letter "h," such as "an historical artifact." In the United States, this usage is incorrect. Instead, we write, "a historical artifact." For a more detailed and discussion of this issue, see "More on A vs. An" from Bill Walsh's Sharp Points. cited from www.englishrules.com October 16 With the introduction of the CyberShot Sony Ericsson’s C905, there has to be yet another 8MP camera phone to fit our bill… Entering the market is the newest Samsung Innov8 mobile, which has all the MegaPixels that could break the back of our proprietor camel-ra (pun intended). It also packs a rather delectable earpiece within its well-packaged box. Featuring a 3.5 stereo jack for secondary ear/head gears, this camera phone might just prove to be the next big thing.
